Twenty seniors among 37 named AP Scholars

From the group, 20 are current seniors at LFHS. The other 17 students were graduates from the Class of 2018.
 
With the AP Scholar Awards, the AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on AP Exams. All AP Scholars scored 3 or better on three or more AP exams.
  • AP Scholars with Distinction scored 3 or better on five or more AP exams, and an average of 4 on all AP exams taken.
  • AP Scholars with Honor scored 3 or better on four or more AP exams and an average of 3.25 on AP exams taken
  • AP Scholars scored 4 or better on three or more AP exams and an average of 4 on all AP exams.
The 37 total represents the most and highest percentage of students who took and passed AP exams over the last several years – 26 percent of the 144 students took AP exams.

The 20 current seniors recognized included:
  • AP Scholar with Distinction (3): Juan Pablo Alvarado, Noe Leon, Christopher Rivera.
  • AP Scholar with Honor (5): Jose Carlos, Angela De la Cruz Martinez, Isis Delgado, Jolie Gonzalez, Chancellor Wyatt.
  • AP Scholar (12): Nathaniel Braun, Gabriela Cuevas, Caroline De la Garza, Aly Guerra, Kiara Jimenez, Shyann McCord, Khristian Ogao, Debie Ruiz, Allison Spier, Luis Torres, Enrique Valencia and Luis Zepeda.
The 17 students who graduated in May from the Class of 2018 receiving the honor included:
  • AP Scholar with Distinction (3): Andrea Hervert, Joriam Martinez Parra, Jonathan Sandlin. 
  • AP Scholar with Honor (6): Julian Echevarria, Andrea Gallegos Plaza, Isaac Muñoz, Leeawny Rodriguez, Melissa Scrivner, Khrista Trovela.
  • AP Scholar (8): Gina Camacho, Christine Castillo, Alejandro Cruz, Benjamin Garcia, Reagan Garza, Ivone Mercado, Jarod Perez, Edric Salazar.
